Hi guys, make sure to leave any comments and questions for Rebecca here!
Hi sorry I know that this is quite an old episode of the pod, but I was wondering about extracurricular activities. I currently do french a-level and would love to continue with french, do you know if the university runs any french courses or if there are courses nearby? Also, what are the extracurriculars like in general? Thanks so much
Hi Hannah. Yes, I believe the uni runs evening language courses for first years as I have friends who signed up this year to either learn a language or improve their skills in a language. There is also a French society at uni which anyone of any ability can join. The extracurriculars at Glasgow are amazing! There is literally a society for almost anything, from sports, to arts and cultural societies. There are also societies for medical students including specialty ones such as surgical society and medic sports. Basically there’s so much choice it’s hard to choose!
Thanks so much that’s really helpful to know, I remember when I went to the open day they mentioned that theres lots of medical society’s and things like sports society’s as well!
