Love the podcast! Such a good idea
Glad you are enjoying it! Lots more episodes to come!
looking forward to listening
This is amazing it’s really nice to have something like this especially since university open days are being cancelled!
What’s the piece of advice you wish you were told in year 12 about applying to medicine?
I fully agree, it can be hard to get a feel for universities and ask medical students questions without open days. However, we’ll do our best to fill that void with this podcast!
Thank you for your question, we’ll be sure to get back to you and cover it on a future episode.
We were thinking about interviewing medical students from different universities to get a feel for the differences in courses and experiences across the country. Is this something that would be helpful in your opinion?
This was a great podcast
Very useful!
Glad you are enjoying it so far!
This is such an amazing initiative and is sure to keep us all busy during lockdown! Ciara and Lucy came to pitch this idea to the education directorate literally a few weeks ago,and they have already made it happen, all credit to them! Keep listening and keep posting your thoughts and comments! And imagine, just what could you achieve in lockdown!? And why not work with medic mentor to make it happen!?
Love this!! It’s a really big help especially during lock down, with the uncertainty of applications and UCAT lol
An absolutely incredible resource. I think it so interesting, even as a doctor! Well done Lucy and Ciara!
What a fab podcast guys! Hope you are both ok, clearly keeping busy, loving your podcast! Can’t wait for the one!
Great podcast! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Your jingle is its defining feature – it’s absolutely perfect! Thanks so much for all your support.
Hi Lucy and Ciara,
Thanks for this podcast. As Hannah said above about year 12’s being in a dilemma right now, this is something that is concerning me, so I would really appreciate it if you have some advice for us. Nevertheless, thank you for this invaluable insight for us to gain knowledge and enjoy!
Hi Fathimah! I can only imagine how challenging this is for all of the year 12s right now. Ciara and I have lots of content planned to support you and keep you busy over the next few weeks, with tips on how to stay motivated and productive at home, so please let us know if you have any specific questions! We have scheduled Q+A interviews with medical student scholars from most of the medical schools in case open days do not go ahead as planned. We have also recorded episodes on ‘Preparing for Medical School’ to support our year 13 students during this time. We are so excited to share all of this with you so make sure to keep checking back to this page for more details and let us know if you have anything else you would like us to cover.
Thank you so very much for creating this resource. It is truly appreciated and so beneficial for aspiring medics!
