Medic Mentor has launched a campaign to raise money for a Doctors’ Hardship Fund, in partnership with the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund (The Doctors Charity).  Our aim is to raise £10,000 to support doctors facing physical, psychological and financial distress as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  During these times doctors have been working long hours, in difficult situations with limited resources. They are faced with an increased number of deaths which has a signifciant emotional and psychological toll.  The fund has been established to ensure that doctors receive the support that they need to stay healthy, so that they can continue to work as doctors and protect the general public.  Most doctors are physically and emotionally resilient, but there are exceptional circumstances that challenge even the most resilient medics, and the RMBF have been around for over 180 years providing that extra support when doctors need help the most.

We are not only seeking donations, but also exceptional volunteers to helps us acheive this goal.  This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to undertake volunteering safely from their homes so that they can contribute to a worthwhile cause, whilst also maintaining social distancing guidelines that have been outlined by the government.  Please visit our COVID-19 Mission page for more details on how to donate and volunteer to support the campaign.  We look forward to working with you!
