    Hi Team

Absolutely fantastic work on your poster. I can tell that a lot of hard work and effort has gone into this, not only from an individual point of view but also as a team. You should all be immensely proud of yourselves. I hope you learned a lot and also had fun at the same time.

    I had a question for you…

What made you decide to use the Australian healthcare system instead of focussing completely on the UK?

Look forward to your replies 🙂

      Hi Dr Uppal,

Thank you very much for your comment! It was so much fun working with a team so understanding and kind.

From the brief outlining that we were to research “the current response of other healthcare services”, we understood that our first part of research was to be based on another service other than the UK’s. We chose Australia in particular because there were many resources regarding Medicare on Australia’s government website and their healthcare system seemed to be less complex compared to others out there. We also found that choosing a different healthcare service, other than the NHS, gave us more insight into other parts of the world and their approach to COVID-19, and it further broadened our knowledge of the pandemic globally, rather than just locally.

I hope this answers your question!

    Hi Lauren

This answers my question perfectly. Healthcare systems can be very complex things and as you correctly said vary massively between countries. I liked your insight into the Australian response to COVID-19.

Well done again to all of you and I hope you enjoyed the conference.

    Stay safe.
