Hey, I really like that you made your own interpretation of the RCVS triage flowchart, as I definitely found the original a tad confusing. What did you all think of the original flowchart, did it make sense? Was there any parts that left too much ambiguity?
I think the original did make sense. I did get a bit confused about one part that was saying to treat the animal if it important for the food chain but did not advise against treating even if you were at risk.
Hello! Great poster team, it was easy to follow. Your use of the RCVS flow diagram and association with different veterinary specialities (farmers, breeders) was interesting. I like that in your debate you used the RCVS declaration in your professional reasoning. I wonder if you agree or not with me that vaccines perhaps are not as ‘routine’ as they have been labelled? In the case of COVID there is enormous pressure to develop and implement a vaccine to immunologically protect the human population. We have numerous vaccines for animals (some for zoonotic conditions) that are not being used right now.
The layout of your poster is so clear well done! I was wondering what the outcome of your ethical debate was? And what changes to veterinary practice procedure did you find?
Thanks! I definitely think that more importance should be placed on vaccinations. During COVID 19 I understand that carrying out “routine” procedures such as vaccinations may increase the risk of spreading the virus but if vaccinations are not given that could cause outbreaks of diseases which could result in more trips to the vets, which would then put more vets etc at risk of COVID, not to mention the impact on the animals getting the diseases. Same goes for zoonotic conditions but obviously they would have an even greater impact as people that get them would have to go to hospitals, putting further strain on the NHS

Great job guys,
