Monday: Introduction to UCAS and wider knowledge (dental ethics, different fields, current affairs, significant organisations, professionalism, landmark discoveries and important figures in dentistry)
Tuesday and Wednesday: 1-2-1 personal statement tutoring and completion of final draft.
Thursday: Students can choose to attend either the UKCAT and BMAT teaching, finish their personal statements or the admissions day, where they will have the chance to spend 1 hour with a representative from different dental schools outlining their selection criteria and process.
Friday: Interview theory and mock interviews in the morning, individual UCAS consultations in the afternoon to help decide on course choices.

What are the group sizes?

There are 20 students in 1 class, and students are put into smaller groups of 4-5 students per mentor. There will also be additional mentors looking after the students as a whole and an on site 24 hour resident social worker and counsellor, to provide additional pastoral support for students, when needed. Students are supervised throughout and will be staying in university halls of accommodation. Students will not be conducting activities off campus at any point during the Summer School Programme.

Textbooks

Students will receive 7 textbooks and access to 2 online question banks for UKCAT and BMAT. This is to ensure that students are comprehensively supported with educational resources for their application.
